Our Privacy Policy
Customer privacy is a top priority for MBS which is why we’ve developed this Privacy Policy. This policy outlines how we collect, use and disclose personal information. This information is collected when you use our website(s), mobile apps, and other on-line and off-line products, services and experiences (hereinafter “Services”). Customers are advised to read this policy in its entirety. This policy is not applicable to any information collected off-line or via other channels. By using the MBS site, the Customer is consenting to our Privacy Policy and agreeing to its terms.
Procedures for Collection of Personal Information
MBS collects personal information that customers provide directly to MBS. Specifically:
Contact Information: This is information that is obtained from customers that sign up to receive the MBS newsletter or e-mails and text messages from MBS. We will collect your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number(s) or any other information to enable MBS to contact the customer.
Payment Information: Customers who wish to order products or services through MBS Services, will need to provided MBS with payment information (such as bank account or credit card information). This information is collected and stored by a third-party payment processing company. Use and storage of that information is governed by the third-party payment processor’s privacy policy, not the MBS Privacy Policy.
Survey Information: Customers may provide MBS with other personal information when they fill out forms, respond to surveys or questionnaires, offer customer feedback, participate in promotions, or use other features of the MBS Services.
MBS will not accept or retain a Customer’s medical, financial or credit information nor will MBS knowingly collect Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of thirteen.
Use of Customer Personal Information
Personal customer information is used for the following purposes:
· To send the customer the MBS newsletter or other marketing information about MBS Services that may be of interest to the customer.
· To promptly respond to customer questions, inquiries, customer service requests or to send the customer notices, updates, security alerts or support and administrative messages.
· To provide the customer information about the Services that the customer may request from MBS or which MBS feels may be of interest to the customer
· To provide the customer information about Services they either requested or which MBS feels may be of interest to the customer.
· To monitor or analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with MBS Services to improve MBS Services
· To assist MBS in contests or other promotions, to process entries and provide prizes and/or rewards
· To investigate and prevent possible fraudulent transactions or other illegal activities and to protect the rights and property of both MBS and its customers
· To carry out all obligations of MBS arising from any transactions between MBS and its customers, including for billing and collection purposes.
Sharing of Personal Information
MBS may share Customer’s personal information in the following ways:
· With vendors, consultants, or other service providers who may be involved in processing customer personal information on behalf of MBS when they provide services to MBS. Examples of such services include but may not be limited to data analytics, research, marketing or financial services.
MBS may be legally required to disclose customer information without consent or notice in the event MBS is in receipt of a valid Court Order or subpoena and as part of a law enforcement investigation Each such request will be evaluated by the MBS Legal Department to determine the validity of the information request before any information is disclosed.
Marketing Choices
For Customers that sign up for certain promotions or subscribe to the MBS newsletter or other marketing/promotional messages, MBS may use customer that personal information to determine which products, services and offers may be of interest to the customer.
MBS will provide marketing messages to customers if the customer has requested the information, purchased goods or services from MBS or if information is provided when entering any type of MBS sponsored promotion. Customers that opt out of receiving marketing messages may still receive non-promotional e-mails. Customer consent will be obtained before any personal information is provided to any third party for their direct marketing.
Opting Out or Unsubscribing
Customers may unsubscribe from marketing messages through a link provided by MBS on all messages sent to customers. Customers may also contact MBS directly at mbsinfo@modernbuilderssupply.com to opt out or unsubscribe from such messages.
Data Retention & Deletion
Customer personal information will not be maintained by MBS any longer than is necessary than for the specific reason it was collected. In determining how long information should be retained, MBS looks to several factors:

· The possible sensitivity of the information
· The risk of harm that might result from unauthorized use or disclosure of the information
· The MBS business purpose for retaining the information
· The legal requirements on MBS to either retain or delete the information
MBS will retain all information wherever it is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, to file a legal claim, defend against a legal claim or for possible evidentiary purposes.
International Transfers
MBS ensures that any transfer of customer information to countries outside of the United States will follow all appropriate safeguards.
